Michael Harvey, CEO & General Counsel
Mike has been the CEO of MLI since 2001. He has a B.S. in Political Science from Portland State University and a J.D. from the Northwestern School of Law. He started his first manufacturing company at the age of seventeen. He led the engineering staff at The North face in Berkely, California when it collaborated with Buckminister Fuller and developed the first commercially available geodesic tent structures. Mike has worked in the electronic chemicals industry since moving to California's Silicon Valley in 1979. He has authored two books on environmental law and taught environmental law at the university level. He serves as the President of MLI's subsidiary in China (MLDCI) and sits on multiple corporate boards.
Hiroyuki Era, Executive Vice President

Hiro has 30 years of Technology experience in the Semiconductor Industry at TAMA Chemicals in Japan and at MLI in the US. His background includes expertise in analytical chemistry and process engineering particularly in the areas of high purity chemicals. In Japan and the US, Hiro has established 6 analytical and R&D laboratories.
Liana Cockrum: Manager Human Resources
Bachelors Degree in Science, the University of Washington, 1997
Liana joined MLI in 2001 and has held various positions in Quality Assurance and the Analytical Laboratory prior to becoming Human Resources Manager in 2005. She is a member of the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) and holds the distinction of Senior Professional in Human Resources. Liana’s broad range of professional experience enables her to partner with and support t employees and consequently serve customer’s needs and initiatives.
Laura Sofield: Director of Quality

Laura has over 17 years experience at Lam Research, Formfactor, and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in a variety of Technical, Engineering,and Program Management positions which led to Productization of a variety of Semiconductor Advanced Technology Node Materials. Particular emphasis included synthesis and characterization of novel organometallic compounds, environmental health and safety compliance, quality assurance functions, and development of semiconductor packaging materials, photoresist materials and device technology integration.
Chad Sofield: Director of Manufacturing Technology

Chad has over 10 years experience at Lam Research, Luxim Corporation, and Formfactor in the fields of Technology and Process Development with a particular emphasis in Semiconductor clean technology, optical imaging systems, and probe card and packaging technology. Among his many accomplishments was development, deployment, and customer qualifications of technology improvement for a new single-wafer cleaning platform.
Eric Webb: Senior Director 3D Packaging Technology

Eric had 8 years of Process Development and Semiconductor Technology experience in the Semiconductor Industry at Novellus prior to joining MLI in 2008. His background includes expertise in electrochemistry and electrochemical engineering particularly in the areas of electroplating and corrosion. At Novellus he was most recently Manager of the Advanced Process Development group.
John Sukamto: Senior Director Damascene Technology

John has been at MLI since 2008 where his responsibilities include the design, preparation, characterization and application of organic additives for electroplating. Prior to joining MLI, he spent almost 8 years at Novellus Systems, Inc. where his work included qualification of plating chemistries, organic additive characterization, film metrology development and studies on the impact of chemistry on device reliability. Prior to Novellus John worked for 7 years at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in the minimization of mixed nuclear waste, and the characterization and application of electro active polymers for the separation of ionic radio nuclides.
Charlton Shen: Patent Attorney and Associate General Counsel

Charlton has over 17 years diversified technical and scientific experience as a Chemical Engineer and Patent Attorney with specializations in the fields of basic energy and environmental science, global climate change, nuclear energy, and colloidal dispersions. Additionally he has a depth of Patent expertise which includes life sciences, immune assay testing, ultrasonic bone densitometry, laser and x-ray scanning, drug discovery methodology, cardiovascular modeling; food and chemical processing, composite coatings, stem cell science, pharmaceutical packaging, fuel cell design, and surface science. His prior experience included Sandia National Laboratories, Nutter, McClennen & Fish; Hamilton, Brook, Smith and Reynolds; and also Bromberg and Sunstein.
William Osborn: Corporate Environmental, Health, Safety and Security Manager

William has 20 year of experience in the EHS field, 15 of which are in the Semiconductor Industry and another five in the nuclear industry. Specific expertise includes high hazard chemical delivery systems, air emission testing, decontamination and dismantling of process equipment, new process permitting, waste treatment design, regulatory compliance auditing and the establishment of ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certified management systems. William serves as the Managing Director of Moses Lake Industries, B.V., in The Netherlands, our “Only Representative” for REACH compliance in Europe. William also assists with maintaining the company’s intellectual property management system.
Jim Blanchard: Senior Research Chemist
B.A. in Chemistry, University of Washington, 1980
Jim has extensive experience in analytical chemistry during 14 years at Moses Lake Industries and 10 years experience in other industrial and commercial laboratories at Jaco Analytical and Northwest Enviro Service . At MLI he has been involved in all aspects of method development and manufacture of high purity semiconductor chemicals and polymers, photolithographic developers, copper electrolytes, and additives, and specialty chemicals. He has many years of development for new materials and creation of analytical methodologies for materials characterization. Jim has over 30 years of customer technical support and field application trouble shooting.
Muneharu Kondo: Senior Research Scientist
Master in Environmental Sciences with specialties in Radiochemistry, Nuclear Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, University of Tsukuba, Ibaraki, Japan 2002
Muneharu has over 11 years of experience in MLI and its affiliates in developing materials, process and chemistries for Semiconductor processes and Cu electro plating. He is an expert in materials purification methodology, high accuracy quantitative part per trillion analytical method development for both chemicals and instrumentation. Additionally, he has expert technical program management skills, process manufacturing background, and multiple years experience in the development and implementation of chemical slurries for chemical mechanical polish applications.
