MLI is grounded in excellence and integrity. We hold ourselves to standards of ethical behavior that go well beyond the corporate norm.

This Code of Conduct and Ethics has been adopted by MLI to further communicate our dedication to our guiding principles, and to convey the high expectations to which we are held at MLI.

The Code addresses a wide range of business practices and procedures. It is a guide to ethical decision-making and sets out basic principles to guide all employees, officers and directors of MLI.

MLI will be known as trustworthy in all respects. This means that all MLI personnel throughout the world must:

  • Obey the law – the spirit as well as the letter.
  • Be honest – be candid and forthright in all dealings.
  • Be fair - give everyone due regard, dignity, and respect.
  • Be proactive - take the initiative to address issues before they become problems.
  • Be consistent – live up to commitments to customers, communities and each other.
  • Be accountable – take responsibility for decisions and actions.
  • Use good judgment - avoids actions and circumstances that compromise or appear to compromise business judgment or create a conflict between personal and company interests.


Following these principles may on rare occasions mean losing some business in the short term. This is a regrettable but an acceptable outcome. Over the long term, this behavior will gain us business benefit customers. People respect and trust this type of behavior and will reward it.
