in-house facility.
Manufacturing Strategy: MLI's Copper Interconnect Plating Solutions are manufactured with an intense focus on maximum process consistency.
- Chemical Purity: Low metal impurity levels are achieved by using specially refined source copper, sub-PPB acids and ultra pure
water. All copper electrolyte manufacturing is totally isolated from the manufacturing of organic products.
- Component Ratio Consistency: Unmatched consistency is achieved by using the same philosophy, manufacturing technologies, and
controls used to produce advanced positive photoresist developers.
- Pure Packaging Technology: Package-based contamination is minimized through careful package selection, pre-packaging container
conditioning, and severe fanatical attention to detail during the packaging process.
Product & Packaging Options: MLI offers a broad variety of electrolyte formulations with the Copper content ranging from 17
to 50g/L. Sulfuric Acid content ranges from 10 to 180g/L. Chloride levels are available from 0 to 50ppm. After the customer defines the
composition specification required, the following tolerances are applied to that specification: + 0.2 g/L Copper, + 2.0 g/L Sulfuric, and
+ 4 mg/L (ppm) Chloride. We also offer low-acid, acid-free, and chloride-free solutions with Copper levels of up to 50 g/L. Copper
solutions are also available with Sulfuric, but no Chloride. Every formulation is manufactured to pre-agreed, controlled customer specifications.
The purity and consistency of every batch is verified and documented via a CERTIFICATE OF ANALYSIS that includes critical metals, blend
component ratios, and particle levels. SPC and process capability data are available upon request. Electrolyte is available in gallon
bottles, 200-liter drums, and 1040-liter tote containers. Diptubes are available. We also offer custom-made Precision Electrolyte
Calibration Standards in HDPE, Teflon®, and NowPak containers.
Reporting of Quality Data: CERTIFICATES OF ANALYSIS routinely include the product specification, and actual parameter values.
We constantly reevaluate analytical techniques as well as detection limits in order to provide the most accurate and useful data for fab
managers as well as process and quality engineers. Our analytical tools and techniques are second to none in copper technology.
Additional analytical reporting is available utilizing the focused capabilities of our copper-technology optimized TOC, and HPLC
